I hope we could see multiplayer for this one, it has potential to be really cool. The only minus is the shortness of the game, I beat it in approximately 4 hours which is just too little for a 30USD game. Graphics and animations are perfect and the gunplay feels good. Its hectic, without being nausea inducing. Control-scheme is perfect for VR, and because of this they manage to capture the same feeling of original doom but in VR. Its Built for VR, which you really can tell. The only minus is the shortness of the game, I beat it in approximately 4 hours which A no-brainer if you got a PSVR. Take some time to learn the controls and it’ll be a must have for any VR collection. And for half the price of a regular game, I can’t recommend it enough. Although a little short, it has plenty or replayability. Still my preferred way to play bough! Lasting appeal: 9.5/10. The Aim controller is a blast to use, but the implementation feels just a little off compared to Farpoint. However the controls don’t feel quite optimized as well as most games. However I rated it a 10 to balance out some of the ridiculous low scores. It really helps to create an atmosphere, and being there with the headset is unreal. Some of the best, if not the best graphics I’ve seen in VR. If you liked the regular Doom, you’ll love this spin off in VR. These are some of the best graphics I have ever seen in VR. God help us if VR relies on teleporting in future games. Btw, teleporting is worse than playing Kinect in the dark. I guess the broken teleporting feature sacrificed the additional buttons needed for extra weapons. Who thought it would be a good idea for an unneeded weapon to always block the player’s view? Also even more bad news. If that grenade hand ever gets an option to be disabled then it would be a much better game. Normal ds4 controls are doable, but again has grenade hand always in plane view while normal gun is moving. Can’t even rotate cam so it’s completly impossible to play that way to begin with. I tried playing with move, but that set up has no way to turn off motion sickness restrictions. Want to desperately focus on my normal gun, but the grenade hand is always in my sights. My biggest complaint is the grenade shooter. Jumping is completely gone which makes no sense because this game can make people sick by teleporting and bouncing on launch pads. I don’t suffer from motion sickness so avoided any nonsense that tried to aid me. Turned on left stick movement with smoothing cam rotation. Had to tweak a few settings so it felt less casual. Has bonus Doom 1 stages that you can unlock to extend replay value. Has 8 levels during main campaign that feel like DLC remixes from Doom 2016. I don’t suffer from motion sickness so avoided any nonsense that tried to Beat game in 2 hrs.
